The Department of Foundational Mathematics sees providing high quality instruction in mathematics to all its students as its intrinsic mission. We aim to help students form solid foundations in various branches of mathematics through research-oriented teaching, developing each student’s potential through cultivating self-motivation, independent learning and creativity.
We fully use the cross-cultural environment of XJTLU to develop a highly international style of teaching that merges the merits of both Western and Chinese universities, consistently building a highly professional team of teaching staff to realise this goal.
